World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and PvE Damage.
For instance an item with the upgrade template ending in % will gain 3damage to attack each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).
The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the current level of the item. The cost increases with item's level.
Components
Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons, and trinkets in order to provide an extra stat boost or effect when they're used. They can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors, trading or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by specific cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment that has a slot for them. The item must be at the very least upgraded to blue level to allow a component to be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a special kind of upgrade component that is used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment as well as the back items that are not ascending. Enrichments and Infusions can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
An upgrade could include a suffix or prefix, modifying the name of the item to the upgrade (for examplefor example "Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, which lets players to create stronger versions of the item using less upgrade crystals than they need to reach the same level using normal methods.
A 'boost' upgrade can change the attack or defence attributes of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades are available to be made from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. They can be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear, or by purchasing them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals each.
Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a better-quality version of the item will be available at the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to keep improving their equipment, even if they're unsure of how much they'll improve after a future reset.
The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process can be expensive, and there is a substantial possibility that the item will be obsolete or even break when it fails; a failure to upgrade can destroy Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items to double or even eliminate possibility of failure, and some upgrades that provide a bonus when reinserted into an item.
upgrade item are upgrade components that can be placed in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, which includes any existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded in various ways, and we suggest upgrading them to 15 levels as soon as you can.
You'll often see in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the most effective way to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and offer a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes more quickly.
Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and replaced again are the most popular. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.
Each Glyph has a particular range of values that it can improve a stat by. The value is shown when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with another Glyph of the same rank, or a higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the glyph.
There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use, and through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.
Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you will require them to be put on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that boosts a particular set of stat nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.
The use of the Glyph will boost all the nodes that are linked to it, and it is recommended to position your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximize the impact. Druids, for instance should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also want to consider placing them near their primary damage nodes.
Leveling
The system of upgrading items allows players to increase the performance of specific items by putting upgraded components inside them. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item comes with an amount that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded More inspiring ideas may be leveled up to a maximum of 385. Each item level requires different components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.
Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or purchased from some NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns some Technology Points. These points can be used to upgrade the item, and when enough are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.
When the player improves a piece of equipment the original item will be replaced with a new item. This means that the same armor piece will become a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will also have a unique bonus. This could be a drawback because it can make the item more expensive if you don't require it.
The upgrades to items can be rerolled, if the player has enough reroll tokens to do so. The item will be replaced with an entirely new item that is based on a level 1 base and completely different bonuses. This can be useful, but should not be repeated often since it could waste resources.
Certain upgrades can boost their value and allow players to modify their equipment. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or swims like a dolphin). It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time increasing the max roll by 10 points. This item is extremely useful in PvP. A perfectly rolled version could be worth up to 50x the value of the non-upgraded counterpart.
Requirements
The item upgrader lets players increase the level of their equipment (armor, weapons, and trinkets) beyond ilvl385 by handing over the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrading armor set pieces will also boost the defense base of that piece, while upgrading weapon equipment will increase the damage base as well as the required strength and dexterity to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.
Each item can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Every each time you upgrade an item, it is given a chance to fail--the rate of failure increases as you go beyond the maximum number of upgrades. Failures will result in the item reverting to its original state and the player having to pay for more materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.
If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar in its growth bar will be reset to zero. In addition the item will lose any gained bonuses such as crit chance, attack damage, and all other effects that are associated with that effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or speed of reload). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.
Whenever an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that, if a weapon gains an increase in the chance of crit the increase is applied prior to any increase in attack damage. Slots is a new attribute that was added to item definitions. The value is calculated every time an upgrade occurs.
The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost for upgrading non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For example, a common equipment item could have five upgrades at a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero quality items will have a much lower cost for each additional upgrade.
Premium items have different upgrade requirements in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they might require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. The player will need to take every piece of gear they wish to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each equipment upgrade requires different amounts of the ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the costs that are listed above.
